He is home! Not 2-3 weeks in the hospital... 2 days! Glory to Jesus! Thanks to all of our friends for standing with us. This threat to his life is OVER! He still has some hurdles to cross for his full recovery. Will keep you all posted. Blessings!

Duane will be having surgery this Monday, October 15th, at 7:30am at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His surgical team is anticipating a long, complex surgery.

We are believing God for supernatural success in both the surgery and Duane's recovery. It has been awesome to see the outpouring of love and prayers for Duane from around the world. We have 100% confidence that his best days of life and ministry are just ahead of him.

Thank you for standing with us in faith this Monday morning as Duane undergoes surgery. I will be updating Twitter and Facebook over the next few days and will post another update as Duane's recovery begins.

We are grateful for a world-class surgeon and facility; but our confidence is not in them, but in Him. NOTHING ("no thing") is too difficult for Him! (Jeremiah 32:17)

As you might already know, Duane is my father in the faith and we have served together in the ministry since 1994. I want to give you a quick update on Duane's health and share with you something we are doing to support him and Annette.
Duane has been fighting a serious infection in his body for the last 3+ years. The situation has become more serious and he recently spent over three weeks in the hospital. He is on a daily regimen of the most powerful antibiotics in the world via a pic line that carries them directly to his heart. 

The infection that is trying to take his life is located in abscesses that are very difficult to remove without causing permanent, irreparable damage. In fact, his doctor could only find 7 known cases of this type of infection on record. A world class surgeon at the University of Texas has been located who is willing to perform the surgery robotically. It is a very complex surgery that will require a team of surgeons to perform the procedure and it is scheduled for October 15th in Dallas, Texas.

Duane's ministry has seen so many healing miracles over the years, including his own resurrection from the dead. Even in the midst of this battle, he received a brand new heart that has allowed him to survive this serious infection. We continue to believe for God's absolute best as Duane's health is restored and he finishes his life and ministry in wholeness.

As I share Duane's progress with friends of the ministry, often times people ask what they can do to help. Obviously, we covet your prayers for Duane and his family. This has been perhaps the most difficult year of their life. Annette resigned from her job and is daily walking alongside Duane as he pursues healing.

The other practical need that they have is financial. Duane and Annette are looking at approximately $12,000 just in health insurance premiums to get Duane through the surgery and an extended recovery into the Spring of next year.
